Importing Past Proposals
Turn past PowerPoint proposals into editable Ghloria proposals in bulk, with destination matching, a review queue, and new places and services saved to your library.
Most agencies have years of proposals stored as PowerPoint files. Imports turns them into Ghloria proposals you can edit and reuse. Ghloria reads each presentation, extracts the client, trip details, itinerary, destinations, services and images, and holds the result for your review before anything is created.
Alpha: selected testers only
Importing past proposals is in alpha and is being tested with a selected group of testers. It is not generally available yet: the Imports entry only appears in the sidebar for workspaces in the test group, and behaviour may change before release.
Uploading A Batch
Start A New Import
Open Imports and click New import.
Add Presentations
Drag in or choose up to 200 .pptx files, up to 100 MB each. Other formats are skipped.
Let It Run In The Background
Click Start import. Each presentation goes through reading slides, preparing images, extracting content and matching places. You can keep working; the sidebar shows how many are processing and how many are ready to review.
Review Queue
Each batch sorts its presentations into groups:

| Check first | Can be created, but some items are flagged, such as uncertain places, images that won't be imported, days without a date, or a client name that doesn't match an existing client. |
| Can't import | A problem must be fixed first, such as a password-protected file, a file with only images and no text, or a destination that needs confirmation. |
Presentations that were already imported are marked as duplicates. Each failed file explains what to do, for example removing the PowerPoint password or splitting a very long deck into smaller files.
Use Create n with no issues to create every clean proposal in one step. Before confirming, Ghloria shows what will be created: new proposals, new and existing clients, and new and reused directory entries. Check the number of new clients first: a new client is created whenever a name doesn't match an existing one.
Reviewing A Presentation
Open Review to see the original slides next to the extracted data. Click a slide to filter the data to what came from it.
- Overview: title, client, contact, dates, travellers, currency, net and selling totals, included and excluded services, insurance, required documents and important notes.
- Itinerary: a table of days with date, title, meals, morning, afternoon, overnight and notes. Add, remove or reorder days.
- Destinations: each place in the presentation is matched to a Ghloria destination. Confirm the match, choose another destination, or choose not to link it. If an entry looks like a sight rather than a destination, Ghloria suggests marking it as a service.
- Services: hotels, cruises and other services, each marked In catalog when it reuses an existing record or New when it will be added to your catalog.
- Media: images from the deck, linked to places and services. Images not linked to anything can be removed in one step.
Changes save automatically. Click Create proposal to create it as a draft. The uploaded file is then deleted.
Adding To Your Library
While reviewing, you can save places and services found in the deck to your library, including points of interest such as museums, landmarks and parks. Ghloria searches your library, the Ghloria catalog and Google, and warns you if a similar entry already exists. These additions go to your library only and are not part of the proposal.
Undo And Cleanup
- Undo deletes a proposal created from a presentation and sends the presentation back to review with your edits. Directory entries are kept.
- Repeated items shows places, services and images that appear across several presentations, so you can make one decision for all of them.
- Delete batch removes the uploaded presentations and their extracted data. Proposals already created from the batch are kept.
