Roles and Permissions

What each role can do across proposals, clients, trips, suppliers, settings, and templates in Ghloria.

Roles and Permissions

Ghloria uses three workspace roles: Consultant, Manager, and Workspace Owner. Roles are assigned per workspace and control what each user can see and do across the platform.

Role assignment

Roles are set at invite time and can only be changed by a Workspace Owner after the member has joined. The default invite role is Consultant.

Notes:

  • The agent selector on proposals is available to all roles. The backend controls which Workspace Owners appear in agent-derived option lists.
  • Non-workspace owners loading a proposal that uses custom budget mode are automatically redirected to standard mode.
  • The import parsing type selector (table vs narrative) is only shown to Workspace Owners. Other role submissions are processed as narrative.

*Managers can see the members table and switch company context when their account has membership in more than one workspace.

PDF and email template editors are restricted to Workspace Owners and additionally require the relevant feature to be enabled for the workspace.


Changing Roles

A Workspace Owner can change any active member's role from the Settings → Workspace → Members table. Role changes take effect immediately and apply to all role-gated features.

Reducing access

Downgrading a user from Workspace Owner or Manager removes their access to role-gated actions immediately. Any proposals, trips, or clients they own remain intact.
